PKK/YPG tunnel network discovered beneath hospital in Syria’s Manbij (2)

MANBIJ, ALEPPO, SYRIA - DEC. 13, 2024: Anadolu on Friday (Dec. 13) captured images of a large tunnel network under a hospital in Manbij that was discovered during Operation Dawn of Freedom by the Syrian National Army (SNA). During investigations at the hospital used as a military headquarters by terrorists, it was discovered that the operating rooms had recently been used to treat members of the organization. Items, posters, and remnants of banners left behind by the terrorist group were found in the hospital and tunnels. The Syrian National Army liberated Tel Rifaat on the first day of Operation Dawn of Freedom earlier this month, removing PKK/YPG forces from the area. With the capture of Manbij, the region, which had become a major PKK/YPG stronghold west of the Euphrates River, was cleared of the group's presence.
