Pomp And Protest For China Leader's State Visit

VOICED: He's the first Chinese leader to make a state visit to the UK in a decade. Today, China's President Xi Jinping mingled with the Queen and political leaders in a day of pomp and ceremony. Politically he heralded the future of UK-China relations saying his state visit will lift things to a 'new height' with the countries becoming 'increasingly interdependent'. But, not everyone gave him a warm reception... protesters lining up to point at his country's human rights record. And, in the north with the loss of more steel workers jobs today there's questions about the impact of cheap Chinese exports. Sky News Political Editor Faisal Islam reports on the days events so far.
