Seniors And Healthcare Workers Vaccinations In West Virginia

The Kanawha-Charleston Health Department in collaboration with healthcare volunteers held their largest-to-date vaccination clinic to vaccinate over 6,000 seniors and healthcare workers. West Virginia has become a U.S. leader in vaccine rollout with 6.3% of their entire population already fully vaccinated as of February 12, 2021. With many other states floundering with logistic issues, West Virginia has successfully distributed 86% of its vaccine supply. Through leveraging the National Guard, partnering with local pharmacies and local health centers, West Virginia has pulled ahead in vaccine distribution.
