KARBALA, IRAQ: The body of a dead worshipper is pushed on a wheel-barrow at the scene of several bomb explosions which rocked the holy city of Karbala, 110 kms (70 miles) south of Baghdad, during the annual Shiite Muslim ritual of Ashura 02 March 2004. An AFP reporter saw at least 30 bodies piled up outside the hospital in Karbala after blasts rocked the sacred Iraqi city as more than a million Shiites marked their holiest day of the year. More casualties were being brought in all the time on stretchers, wrapped in blankets and dripping blood, in ambulances or private cars.
