People Celebrate The Fall Of Berlin Wall

A month earlier, the Wall was torn down by East and West Berliners, reacting to the fall of the East German Communist government. The Brandenburger Tor, is located at the entrance to old Berlin, is a symbol of the city, but for almost three decades was the symbol of the division of the city: the monument was part integral part of the Berlin Wall. It was erected by Carl Gotthard Langhans (1732-1808) for the King of Friedrich Wilhelm II (1744-1797).
