Andrew Jackson

circa 1820: Andrew Jackson (1767-1845). Seventh president of the United States 1829-1837. As a soldier in the War of 1812, defeated the Creek Indians at Horseshoe Bend 1814, captured Pensacola, Florida 1814. Led US troops to defeat the British at the Battle of New Orleans, LA 1815.
