Front entrance of a traditional mud brick house in Abyaneh village, situated around 80km from Kashan, at the base of the Karkas mountains, in Natanz County, Isfahan province of Iran. Characterized by a peculiar reddish hue, Abyaneh is one of the oldest village in Iran, known to have existed 2,500 years ago. The culture of Abyaneh has been largely preserved, with a few hundred residents speaking Middle Persian and dressing in traditional clothing.
